Deacon Robert Earl Foster, a native of Houston, Texas and resident of Baton Rouge, LA was a servant of God who loved people, and desired only to be a blessing to those whom the Lord would allow to cross his path. He served the Baton Rouge Community and surrounding areas to bring the ministry of compassion to families in their times of grief and bereavement; having worked with several mortuaries. However, because of his heart and his love for God, his ultimate joy was found in serving as a Deacon in the Lord’s church at New Beginnings Cathedral Church of God in Christ, Elder LeRoy Johnson, Th. D., Pastor. His journey did not begin there but was established years prior in service with his father in love, the Late Reverend Leroy Williams at the New Risen Sun Baptist Church. The Body of Christ benefited greatly from his heart to serve and will dearly miss his presence in this world. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving family, of which his wife and queen Debra W. Foster is now matriarch, his church Family, a host of relatives and friends. The final arrangements are as follows: Friends and Family Visitation: Friday, July 14, 2023 at New Beginnings Cathedral Church of God in Christ (6867 Van Gogh Street) 5-7 pm; Funeral services Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10:00 am; viewing at 8:00 a.m. until service begins at Pleasant Valley Church of God in Christ (6159 Blueberry Street); Elder LeRoy Johnson, officiating.
