Doris Mae George

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the
faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which
the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me
only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4:7-8
Sis. Doris Mae George was born May 24, 1941 to the union of Ozema and
Beatrice George. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. Later,
she joined Five Fold Ministries Church under the leadership of Apostle Dr.
Warren and Prophetess Sherita LeBrane.
Sis. Doris Mae George was a dedicated church member who served God
with great distinction on the FFM Food and Deaconess Ministry. She loved
God, her Pastors, church, and Mid-Week Service. She would often wave her
hands and move her head in agreement with the WORD OF GOD. Everyone
grew attached to her friendly personality, fashionable attire, and encouraging
spirit.
Sis. Doris Mae George was educated and attended St. Francis Xavier
Catholic School. After completing all grade levels at St. Francis, she attended
and graduated from McKinley Senior High School. Finally, she attended
Grambling State University in the heart of North Central Louisiana.
Sis. Doris Mae George lived in the Bay Area of California for over forty
years where she worked dutifully in a managerial position at the Westin St.
Francis Hotel at Union Station in San Fransisco. After retiring, she relocated to
Baton Rouge, Louisiana in August, 2007. She immediately connected with
Five Fold Ministries, and worked diligently to fulfill her purpose
according to the will of God.
Sis. Doris Mae George peacefully departed this life on September 22, 2023
at the Sterling Place Rehabilitation Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Sis. Doris Mae George leaves to cherish her memories one sister, two
brothers, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a host of
other relatives and friends.
Sis. Doris Mae George was preceded in death by her father and mother,
Ozema and Beatrice George; and one brother, Frank George.. Viewing Saturday October 07, 2023 9:00am until Funeral Service at 10:00am at Resting Place Funeral Home 7840 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, La 70806. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. Professional Services entrusted to Resting Place Funeral Home.
