Dorothy Barber

Dorothy Irene Kemper Barber, native of "Boulevard Bottom" Baton Rouge, La departed this life Monday April 24,2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at the age of 99. Dorothy, retired matriarch and pillar in the community of Baton Rouge with over 50 years of working for the McManus Family and First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge. Dorothy was a loyal daughter, sister, wife and mother of 4.  She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters: Sandra K. Hatch, Joycelyn K Stevenson, and Dolease K. Lee of Baton Rouge, La, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a great great great grandchild and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Israel Barber, son Larry Kemper, parents Louis Kemper and Dora Davis Scott, and great granddaughter Cidne K Swepson.
