Elnora Parker Bady affectionately known as "Sister" , "MawMaw" or "Big Momma" began her life’s journey on July 12, 1937 to the union of the late Frank and Mary Woodard Parker. Elnora received her education in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and graduated from Scotlandville High School. She also attended Southern University. Elnora was married to the late Curtis Grimes. To this union Sherrill and Gregory Grimes were born. She later met and married the love of her life, the late Felton Bady. To this union Felton Parker was born. Elnora started her relationship with Christ and was baptized by the late Rev Isaiah Warner at Greater King David Baptist Church. She remained a faithful member under the current pastorship of Dr. John E. Montgomery, II and served as an officer of The Golden Age Retiree’s Club until her health became challenging. Elnora was the first African American cashier of Piccadilly Cafeteria in Delmont Village. She retired in 2002. After retiring she enjoyed traveling, socializing with the retiree club and spending much of her time with her family especially her great-grandchildren. Elnora leaves her sweet memories with her beautiful children; 1 daughter, Sherrill Jolla; 2 sons, Gregory (Barbara) Grimes Sr and Felton (Gloria) Parker; 9 grandchildren, Karmica, Gregory Jr, Tenishea, Reginald, Sade, Brandi, Randall, De’Ja, and Ie’Ja; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Gus (Marjorie) Woodard of Oakland, California; 1 sister Zenola Worthy; 1 brother in law, Leroy Grimes; best friend, Theresa Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Elnora was welcomed home on March 19, 2021 by her parents, Frank and Mary Parker; husband, Felton Bady; brothers, Allen and Theodore Parker; sister, Mattie Grimes; sister in law, Gloria Parker and nephews, Marvin and Vincent Parker. Visiting Saturday March 26, 2021 9:00am until 11:00am at Resting Place Funeral Home 7840 Florida Blvd. Graveside at 12:00noon at Southern Memorial Garden.
