In Loving Memory of Glenda Honore.
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Glenda Honore, who departed this world on August 4, 2023. She was a cherished wife, a loyal sister, a caring friend, and a loving mother. Her loss leaves an indescribable void in our lives, but her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
Glenda was born in New Orleans, LA. She was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to her family and community. As a mother, Glenda was unparalleled. She devoted her life to her children, pouring her heart and soul into their upbringing. Her unwavering love and support were the foundation upon which her family thrived. She was a constant source of guidance, encouragement, and understanding, offering a listening ear and a comforting embrace whenever needed. Glenda had an incredible ability to make even the simplest moments memorable. Whether cooking with her family or simply sharing a laugh around the dinner table, she created a home filled with love, laughter, and joy. Her love knew no bounds, and her children were her pride and joy. Beyond her role as a mother, Glenda was an active member of Saint Gerard Majella Church for over 40 years, a retired East Baton Rouge Food Service employee, and Batchelor High Graduate. Glenda radiated warmth and kindness, always putting the needs of others before her own.
In addition to her parents, Bienville Mulder Sr. and Martha Lawrence, she was predeceased by her loving young son Dexter Mulder, brother Bienville Mulder Jr., and brother Larry Mulder. Their reunion in heaven brings solace to our grieving hearts, knowing they are together again.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Wilfred Joseph Honore Jr., of 48 years; adoring children, daughter Katina Triplett and her husband Terral Sr., daughter Alisha Gales and her husband Brian, son Wilfred Joseph Honore III and his wife Crystal, daughter Ashley Honore; beloved grandchildren Kayela, Eriquois, Terral II, Devin, Olivia and her husband Marcus, Lillian, Brian, Khalani, Leila and Wilfred IV; cherished great-grandchildren Ryvre, TaiLynn, Jayela, and Zorah, who were all the light of her life. She leaves a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will forever guide and inspire them.
Her memory will also be treasured by her siblings, sister Ray Audrey Balogun, sister Joyce Mulder Walthour, brother Felix Mulder, brother Alvin Mulder Sr. and his wife Janice, brother Anthony Mulder and his wife Eliza, brother Max Mulder and his wife Cora, brother Michael Mulder and his wife Kim, brother Stevie Mulder and his wife Alicia; many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
Visitation will be held on August 11, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm central at Saint Gerard Majella Catholic Church at 5354 Plank Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70805. The funeral services will be conducted by Father Tat on Saturday, August 12, 2023, starting with the final viewing at noon and service at 1:00 pm central at Saint Gerard Majella Catholic Church. This will be an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to gather in remembrance.
