John Joseph Sanders

John Joseph Sanders, 81, passed away at Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge, LA on Monday 11/15/21 after succumbing to breathing complications as a result of stage 4 cancer. His last few days here were spent with his children and family gathered at his bedside sharing memories of good times. Even in his last days he kept up his witty humor as well as his strong selfless desire to not cause anyone trouble. John was born 9/19/1940 in Arnaudville. He spent his working years in the oilfield after serving in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed gardening, watching tv and reading western books. John was preceded in death by his mother, father and many brothers and sisters. John was survived by his son, John Michael Sanders (Brooke) of Lafayette. He was also survived by his daughter, Charlette Dedra Romero (Ton) and grandchildren, Isabella Veronica Romero (13) and Nicholas Markus Romero (12) of Kenner. A mass was offered in his name on 11/17/21 in the hospital chapel. Our memories with him will last forever in our hearts.
