Josie Laymond-Jackson, United States Army Veteran passed away Friday April 05,2024 at the age of 75. Josie Laymond Jackson was a First Lieutenant, Surgical Nurse in the United States Army. She was the recipient of the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon. Josie was employed by East Feliciana Mental Health. She retired as a registered nurse after working in the field of nursing over forty years. She enjoyed the pleasures of life along with lots of shopping. Josie leaves to cherish her memories her blended family, Vontrel Rollins, Tanee Rollins, Steven Rollins, Terrance Rollins and Pharrish (Bertresa) Rollins, Monica Jackson, Willie (Senita) Jackson II, Darryl Williams, Mattie Williams, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Burnette (Elton) Rubin, Linda Landor and Nyisha Landor (Linal Tickles, Sr.), one brother Timothy Dewayne Landor and a host of Nieces and Nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Jackson Sr., mother Josephine Landor, sister Linda Diane Talbert and her brother Lawerence Landor.
