Kendrick Jemarr Glapion Jr

Kendrick Glapion Jr. affectionately known as "Jr." passed away Monday December 25, 2023, in Baton Rouge, La at the age of 14. Kendrick was born on January 31, 2009, in Baton Rouge, La to his loving parents, Kendrick Glapion Sr. and Kayla Shura Brown. He was a bright-eyed baby boy who grew to have and infectious smile. Kendrick attended Broadmoor Elementary, Bernard Terrace Elementary, and Park Forest Elementary. He then went on to Capitol Middle School, where he began to form strong bonds with his teachers and friends. With roots saturated with a a love for Christ, Kendrick Jr. attended Victory & Power Ministry with his mother Kayla. Under the pastoral guidance of Dr. Ralph Moore, young Kendrick was spiritually fed at Victory & Power for ten years. Kendrick Jr. loved sports. He was a fan of wrestling, basketball, and most of football. His favorite NFL football team was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also loved bowling, going to eat, playing video games, and going to the park to play. Kendrick passed away early Christmas morning 2023 in the caring hands of providers at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital of Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 14. Kendrick is survived by his mother Kayla Brown, his father Kendrick (Natalia) Glapion Sr.; grandmother Faye Brown; grandfather Chester Brown; two sisters, Prycelezz Bryant and Justice Glapion; one brother, Christopher Glapion; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Kendrick Jr. was preceded in death by grandmother Crystal Glapion and aunt Tanya Glapion.
