Louis Tymes, lovingly known as Uncle Skeeter, was born March 8, 1938, in Cliton, Louisiana to Mr. Willie Times and Mrs. Rosa Bell Ennis-TImes. He was called home by the Lord to a Life of Eternal rest on Wednesday January 3, 2024.
Louis attended Capital High School where he played basketball and received the nickname Skeet because of his speed. After Graduation he attended Southern University and Received his BS in Science.
He joined the army and married shortly afterward. Spending most of his adult life in New Jersey working. He came home after Hurricane Sandy in 2012 to friends and his loving family.
Louis leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Dorynda Tymes of Bloomfield, NJ. His daughter Yvette Tymes Oliver of Baton Rouge, His son Louis Michael Tymes of Atlanta, GA. One brother Edward Times and one sister Helen (Major) Trask. Three grandchildren Angelle Ferguson, Jasmine Oliver, and Jameer Oliver. And so many loving and devoted nieces and nephews.
Louis was proceeded in death by his parents Willie Sr. and Rosa Bell Times, brother Willie Times Jr. sister Delores Dixon, Shirley Spears, Peggy Ann Fisher, niece Belinda and beloved son Terrence C. Tymes.
Viewing Wednesday January 31, 2024 at 10:00am until Funeral Service at 11:00am at Resting Place Funeral Home 7840 Florida Blvd Baton Rouge, La 70806. Interment in Louisiana National Cemetery.
