Mattie L. Hampton

Our loving mother Mattie L. (Cain) Hampton entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 20, 2021. She was 84, a long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a native of Liberty, MS. She leaves to cherish her memories of her eight children Rose Cain Brumfield of Dallas, TX, Russ (Patricia) Cain, James, Jr., Carolyn, John, and Jerry Hampton, Sherry (Kenneth) Thomas, and Bridget Thomas all of Baton Rouge. She also leaves behind two brothers Henry Cain of Baton Rouge and Vernal Harrell of Denver, CO. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation February 27, 2021 at St. Mary Baptist Church, 1252 North Acadian Thruway, BR, LA 70802 at 9:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Professional Services entrusted to Resting Place Funeral Home.
