Michael Chukwubara Nwokorie

Michael Nwokorie passed away August 11, 2024 at the age of 25. He was born to Placid C Nwokorie Sr. and Christiana C Nwokorie. The 5th of 7 children, he was both a respectful baby brother and a caring big brother. While in high school Michael excelled as member of band playing the clarinet and saxophone. He was truly a wonderful and talented musician who also enjoyed playing the piano and writing songs. His musical talents awarded him scholarships to attend LSU. In addition to being a veteran he was a kind friend and loved by all who were blessed to know him. He was a proud member of the Air Force and Air National Guard and served his country with the utmost integrity for over 6 years. While in the military he pursued a college degree in Kinesiology and Social Sciences at LSU with aspirations of attending Physical Therapy school. He couldn’t stay away from music even then, so he joined the LSU orchestra later on during college. His musical talents and outgoing personality will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents Placid C Nwokorie Sr & Christiana C Nwokorie and siblings Rophina C Nwokorie, Agnes I Nwokorie, Placid C Nwokorie Jr, Joshua A Nwokorie, Argelie M Nwokorie, Chiduito U Nwokorie, Chimezie Placid Nwokorie and IjeChukwu Placid Nwokorie, uncles, Anselm Nwokorie and Leonard Nwokorie, niece and nephew Ogaziri Placid Nwokorie and Chikamara Placid Nwokorie, aunts, cousins, numerous other relatives and friends.

Michael Nwokorie was preceded in death by his grandparents Richard Nwokorie, Agnes Nwokorie, and Cecilia Nwokorie.

Private Graveside in Hope Haven Garden of Memory.  Memorial Service will be announced at later date.
