Molly C. Lewis

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. On Sunday March 20, 2022, a premium rose from our family garden was plucked. God saw fit in his Infinite wisdom to seal the lips of our beloved Molly Cage Lewis, calling her form labor to reward. Molly C. Lewis was born on July 4, 1951 to the union of Rev. Maxwell Cage Sr. and Leona Cage both of Vacherie, Louisiana, and to this union 13 children were born. Molly being a preacher’s kid, she heard of a Christ, learned of this Christ, and later accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior through the outward demonstration of baptism by the late Rev. Author Jones of the First Baptist Church of Vacherie. She remained a faithful member until her transition under the Pastoral Care of Rev. Dr. Johnnie B. Magee. On August 22, 1987, Molly was Joined in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life, the late Jerome Lewis Sr. “Molly Lou” as she’s affectionately called by family and friends leaves to cherish 5 children; Allana ( Keith) Wilson, Enolia (Rodney) Batiste, Jerome (Ashley) Lewis, and Maya (Kevin) Minor, all of Vacherie, Louisiana. 4 Brothers, Joshua(Sandy), Herbert(Beatrice), Ronald(Cheryl), Landry(Raquel). 1 sister, Enolia Cabarcas. 20 grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren. 2 Godchildren Jaqueline Washington and Maxwell Mumphrey. Her best friend and cousin Joyce Herbert. A host of Other Family and Friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Maxwell Cage Sr. and Leona Cage, Husband Jerome Lewis Sr., Son, Lowell Narcisse Sr. 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation Friday April 1, 2022 from 8:00am until religious service at 12 noon.
