Sister Olevia Ann Harris was a loving mother, sister, aunt and a good friend to many. Olevia was born on June 28, 1957 to the union of the late Lamar and Beatrice Harris. Olevia at a young age, was baptized at Greater St. James Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Willie Finister. Olevia was a graduate of McKinley High Class of 1975, then later attended Southern University. Olevia spent majority of her career working for the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board as a paraprofessional working with children with special needs at University Terrace. Olevia's passion for children also led her to be known as everyone's favorite candy lady. Olevia leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, whom is the apple of her eye, Chapreca Harris, one brother Floyd Harris, one nephew Derek Hughes Sr. (LaKeisha), two Godsons Reginald Lebrane and Jaylon Sanders all of Baton Rouge, La, and a host of other relatives and friends. Olevia was proceeded in death by her father Lamar Harris Sr., mother Beatrice Harris, brother Lamar Harris Jr., uncle Sim Lebrane Sr., John Ruffin, James Ruffin, and Freddie Aaron, aunt Ethel Mack, niece Maryland Harris, nephew Paul Harris, and cousin Caroline James. Viewing Saturday December 17, 2022 10:00am until Religious Service at 11:00 at Charity Christian Center 871 Oneal Lane Baton Rouge, La 70816. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Professional Service entrusted to Resting Place Funeral Home.
