Peter Ray “Hollywood” Turner

Peter Ray “Hollywood” Turner, 70, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Monday, June 3, 2024.  Peter “Ray” was born on February 8, 1954 to the parents of Juanita Turner and Peter Winfield in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Albertha Emile, his stepmother, also played a very important role in his life.

Peter “Ray” leaves to cherish his memories six sisters: Barbara Manuel, Jacqueline Sims, Alice Pickett, Theresa Turner, Linda Turner and Terri Turner of Baton Rouge; one brother, Samuel (Carrie) Thomas of Tulsa, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Juanita Turner and Peter Winfield; stepmother Albertha Emile; one brother, Felton Turner; one sister, Dorothy Jackson; one uncle, Jake Thomas; one niece, Terralyn Brown; two nephews, Amos Thomas and Willie Earl Manuel Jr.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Resting Place Funeral Home, 7840 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806, followed by Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m.; interment at Mount Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 9654 LA-10, Ethel, LA 70730.
