Richard Paul Major Sr. was born on May 16, 1947 to the union of Myrtle Scott Major and Joseph Major Sr. Richard wore many names "Dick" "Missing Link" and "Rambo" but the one he was proudest of was Da and Pawpaw. Richard was united in holy matrimony to Mercedese Young Major. To this union 4 kids were born Kawanda, Richard Jr., Danielle and Donnette Major. Bonus Daughter (Lakeisha Link) He worked several jobs, Dow Landscaping Foreman during grinding season and his own business cutting trees him and his son. Richard was called to his Heavenly home October 16, 2021 at 10:23 a.m. surrounded by family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories his Children Kawanda Davis (Ronnie), Richard Major Jr. (Betty), and Danielle Major, God-daughter, Charlotte Major Scott. 13 grandkids Jontrel, Brandon, Jacolby, Adonis, Kayla, Chaz, Jada, Jared, Destiny, Jazzi, Rishira, Richante and Rishonda; 10 great grandkids Kiylei, Jayleigh, Carson, Korriana, Montana, Jenan, Brandon Jr., Bry'nleigh, Nora, and Ty'Lajah; two brothers Oscar Major (Sheryl) Leonard Major; two sisters Mary Bennette (Lawrence ) Jean Clara Clark; two brother in-laws Garnell Young (Diane), and Archille Young (Beulah). He was proceeded in death by wife Mercedese Major, daughter Dannette Major, grandson Caiden Young, mother and father Myrtle S. Major and Joseph Major; two sisters Myrtle Taylor, Fannie Davis; four brothers Frank Major, Joseph Major, Edward Major, Christopher Major; two sister in laws and several brother in laws, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
