RICHARD DAHLGREN MCNAB

Oak Ridge, November 17, 1954 - Denham Springs, November 15, 2023.

RICHARD DAHLGREN MCNAB, was born to Thelma Mae McNab, in the community of Oak Ridge, on the Island of Roatan, in the Bay Islands of Honduras on November 17th,1954. Was raised by his grandmother Leonie Garcia McNab along with his late brother Tadson Garcia, after the passing of their mother.

Captain Richard, Jodido, Captain Ho, as he was pleasantly called, married the love of his life Jennie Lavern on August 23rd, 1972 at the tender age of 18, just after earning the position and title as “CAPTAIN”, which will define him as an admirable boat handler and man for the rest of his life.

Capt. Ho, will not only be remembered for being an outstanding master of a vessel but also as an exceptionally talented boat mechanic.

On November 15th, 2023 as he sailed his last voyage into eternity, he was preceded by his beloved son Richard McNab JR. and leaves behind his daughter Sheena Mae, who considered her dad, as her role model, the one with whom she shared an irreplaceable bond. He was the person that shaped her in profound ways, her support and pillar of strength in life, her unconditional love.

Jodido, also leaves behind; Marlene Reyes and Eduardo Calderon, who he along with his best friend and forever love Jennie, had the wonderful blessing of taken into their home, and raising as their own children.

His Grandchildren: Shelby Thompson Quinonez (Anthony), Tristan Edward, Jayla Lavern, Blair Serrano, Karla, Eduardo and Maverick Calderon and Great-granddaughter: Adlih Magnolia will forever cherish the stories of their grandfather’s love for horseback riding, motorcycles and hunting.

As he spent time and made precious memories with his family in Denham Springs, Louisiana, he was happy to have his Sister in law Hope and brother in law David nearby. Among those that will always miss and remember him, remains a community of family, friends and loved ones.
