Rosemary Haynes Collier, 83, passed away on May 8, 2022 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was born November 25, 1938, in Denham Springs, the first daughter of Lee Tillman Haynes, Sr. and Inez Drake Haynes. Rosemary graduated from Capitol High School, a proud member of the Class of 1955. Following graduation, she attended Southern University and married Feltus Leon Collier in 1957. They would have celebrated 65 years of marriage in August of this year. She was a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service for 42 years and created many wonderful, lifelong relationships. It was not uncommon for her to open her home to family and friends of the family. Her family was everything to her and she made each of them feel most treasured. From maintaining the tradition of cooking Sunday dinner and a famous recipe for deviled eggs, to caring for her great-grandsons, neighbors and church friends, Rosemary was a faithful person with a loving heart, a radiant smile, a giving spirit and she was loved dearly by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Marvelle Haynes Hayes and Brenda Haynes Eames. She was also preceded in death by her son, Chet Marius Collier.
