Ruby Lee Richardson

Ruby Lee Richardson departed this life on February 17, 2022 at the age of 90 at her residence surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Baton Rouge, La to the union of Tom Garment and Annie Bell Washington Garment. Ruby Lee accepted the Lord at an early age and was a member of Beacon Light of Baton Rouge Church. She enjoyed being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Michael (Linda) Thomas, Leon Thomas, Calvin (Virginia) Variste, Ernest Garment, and Patricia Richardson; brother Tom (Rose) Garment; 27 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruby Lee is preceded in death by her parents Tom Ed Garment and Annie Bell Washington Garment, siblings Gladys Handy Costley, Ida Mae McCoy, and Emile Garment; children Alma Jean Thomas, Almeda Variste, James Garment and Sickaboo Garment, grandchildren Letroy Brown and Jermaine Variste, and great grandchild Trinity Thomas.
