Stephen Gerard Moore

Stephen Gerard Moore was born July 14, 1961 to the late Alfred and Ollie Franklin Moore in Baton Rouge, La. He departed this life on Monday December 12, 2022 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at the age of 61. Stephen confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Frank R. Winder and the late Rev. Harry D. Horton. Stephen received his education from Reddy/Polk Elem, McKinley Jr. High and McKinley Sr. High School. Stephe loved his course elective Auto Body and Fender Repair. He excelled in this course study and under the leadership of Mr. James White went on to become an entrepreneur in the industry for over 40 years. Stephen will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted family. Stephen leaves to cherish his memories two children Broderick Jackson and Stephenique Moore both of Baton Rouge, La. Two grandsons Ma'King Jones and Broderick Jones; Three brothers Pastor Tyrone Moore (Delphina) of Lafayette, LA; Pastor Alfred Moore III (Didrea) of Baton Rouge, LA, and Byron K. Moore, of Ellenwood, GA; Three aunts Grace Moore Brister, Baton Rouge, LA, Jessie Franklin Scott, Port Hudson, LA, Norma Franklin Gordon, Monroe, LA; Two uncles Edward Moore (Corliss) of Baton Rouge, LA and Freddie Franklin (Doris) of Houston, TX, one God-sister Daniella Moore of Baton Rouge, LA; 7 nephews, 6 nieces, 12 great nieces, 4 great nephews, 48 first cousin, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ollie Moore, paternal grandparents Alfred and Elner Jackson Moore, maternal grandparents Thomas and Lillie Wallace Franklin, 10 aunts, and 13 uncles. Viewing Wednesday December 21, 2022 9:00am until Religious Service at 11:00am at Westgate Church 1622 Court St Port Allen, La. Interment in Southern Memorial Garden. Professional service entrusted to Resting Place Funeral Home.
